Based in the Bay of Plenty, Eastern Airwork Ltd is an agricultural helicopter company founded by a 3rd generation pilot from a multi-generation farming family.

Eastern Airwork builds on three generations of commercial experience across various industries within New Zealand. 

Our effectiveness is based on the importance we place on precision; a cornerstone of safety and results. Our goal is to maximise the impact and minimise the time and effort required to agribusiness by providing access to safe and affordable aerial services. 

Eastern Airwork is used by forestry, farming and corporate clients, along with Regional Councils and Government Agencies. We specialise in all types of aerial applications such as spraying, fertiliser, aerial surveys, precision lifting as well as firefighting. 

Based in Opotiki with a helicopter base in Rotorua, we are able to service an extensive area of the Central North Island. From the Waikato, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, East Cape, King Country, Taupo and through to Hawkes Bay.

Eastern Airwork Ltd holds a current CAA Agricultural Aircraft Operators Certificate (AAOC) along with the following other accreditations.

  • Public liability Insurance up to $10,000,000.

  • Power line liability up to $20,000,000.

  • Plus all associated Aviation and Hull insurances.

Our logo & it’s meaning.

Mountain: represents precision, a sense of clear direction and our connection to the land (Papatuanuku).

Sun: represents Eastern Bay being the first to see the sun and our connection to the sky (Rangi).

Koru: represents our work in connecting the land and the sky. Also an acknowledgment of Tangata whenua and their custodianship of the whenua that we fly over.
